Louisiana born and bred Coyote Keene has been playing music since his days at Louisiana State University. After a ten year stint as a Fighter Pilot in the U.S. Air Force, the Coyote has plunged head first into a musical quest. A quest to sing and play as much as possible. Coyote has headed up several band and has played the California folk and roots scene for the past thirty years.
An avid song-writer, Coyote Keene leans towards the folk and Americana music of the deep South, but also acknowledges several influences who have Jed him down other musical paths. These would include John Prine, John Hiatt, Slaid Cleaves and most importantly Ian Tyson whose songs of a disappearing Western way of life have taken the “Coyote” down many oft-forgotten trails.
Last year Coyote Keene joined musical forces with part of the Gayle and Company Band and set out to make Arizona part of their musical sphere. The combination of Coyote and Gayle and their beautiful harmonies has led them to huge popularity in the southern California area. Add to that combo with the addition of Fred Stuart, a multi-instrument master of guitar, mandolin and petal steel, and you have a great trio that can entertain anywhere.

Poised to start a revolution with such songwriting as “Milwaukee Step” and “Word Peace Going,” the Greg Jones Band is nothing short of an authentic Old School approach to Contemporary Music. A myriad of experiences have come to shape Dr. Greg Jones into the performer he is today. Growing up in Compton, CA and a natural performer, he tapped-danced with the Eugene Jackson Review and began singing and playing piano while serving in the military.
Currently, either alone or with members of his band, Jones performs in California about 20 weekends a year in festivals and private events. The rotating cast of band members all have tremendous chemistry, and an ability to impress audiences with both vibe, sound and style. Album available on iTunes.
